I had a screening at the Austin Film Society's Avant Cinema Series, titled GHOSTS OF THE PAST, SPECTRES OF THE FUTURE. I showed two videos, one brand new, the other a little moldy, and presented a couple of other videos that really inspired me. It went really well. It sold out! Fortunately, my friend Ben Aqua bootlegged my introduction and Q+A for posterity (click on them to listen). Thanks to everyone who came, and special thanks to Scott Stark for asking me to do it (and founding the series) and Chale Nafus for helping me put it all together!

I will be previewing a video sculpture at the Austin Art Mercado, a project founded by Sam Sanford, Dustin Walker and Lindsay Muse. From their website: "The Mercado is an anarchic open market where artists and collectors can connect directly, with live music and refreshments. Our goals are to make art more affordable, to help artists make a living, and to provide a venue for ephemeral and noncommercial art." Swing by and take a peek this Saturday, June 21st, 2008 from 7:00 pm to midnight at 810 East 13th Street.

I contributed 3 digital prints to Arthouse's 5x7 Art Splurge and Exhibition Annual fund-raiser. The show opens on Friday May 16, with their big bacchanalia happening the following night. More info here.
